Development of a Local Web Application for Automated Welding Defect Detection

This project addresses the transformation of an existing desktop-based application for welding defect detection into a locally deployable web-based system. The aim is to improve accessibility, scalability, and system usability, while preserving the benefits of local execution, including data privacy and computational efficiency.

The proposed system is intended to support users in performing automated inspection of welding components through image-based analysis, thereby enhancing the effectiveness and organization of quality control procedures.

The application is organized into three main groups of functionalities:

  • It enables the acquisition and processing of images for defect detection and classification, providing visual representations of identified components and their corresponding conditions.
  • It facilitates the monitoring of processing activities, allowing users to track the status of ongoing analyses and access results in a timely manner.
  • It supports data management and analytical operations, including the storage of inspection results and the generation of aggregated insights to assist in long-term evaluation and decision-making.
