The aim of this project is to explore different methods for the validation of Local Climate Zone (LCZ) maps (e.g. using reference maps and products as well as testing datasets). The student is asked to develop a Python code (preferably a Jupyter Notebook) implementing the above validation procedures. The code will compute common statistical indexes for the accuracy assessment (e.g. Overall Accuracy, and class-specific Producer’s and User’s accuracy).
