Description
The VHR-REA CCLM downscaling ERA5 dataset, developed by CMCC (Centro Euro-Mediterraneo sui Cambiamenti Climatici), is a valuable resource for climate research and downstream applications. This high-resolution dataset (2.2 km) provides comprehensive, hourly climatological data spanning the last 40 years over the Italian territory.
This project aims to develop an interactive Web application for visualizing the dataset and derived heat stress indices. The platform will feature dynamic maps, time series, and statistical analyses, enabling users to explore climate data with ease. Built in Python and hosted on a dedicated platform (e.g., Streamlit), the application will allow users to perform custom queries, e.g., based on temporal extent and selected climate variables.
